What is The Original Yummy Mummy (TOYM)

The Original Yummy Mummy was created in 2018 from a simple but deeply personal conviction: women, particularly mothers, deserve spaces that affirm their growth and encourage them to be their truest and best version of themselves.

Over the years, life continued to unfold. Experiences were had. Lessons were learned. Growth and refinement happened both personally and quietly behind the scenes. And the vision deepened. The platform paused for a season, but the mission never did.

Today, TOYM stands as a continuation, not a rebrand, not a reinvention; but a matured expression of the original mission.

Motherhood is a powerful and important role, but this platform is not about instructing women on how to mother. It is about encouraging women to:

• Reconnect with themselves

• Invest in their wellbeing
• Strengthen their identity
• Build with intention
• Heal where necessary
• Expand beyond limitation

• Actively pursue the life that feels right for them

 

The Original Yummy Mummy exists as a gentle reminder that women are still allowed to choose themselves, and become the best version of themselves. Whether that means building something meaningful, prioritising rest, healing from difficult seasons, or simply learning to show themselves more love. It is about the woman within the mother.

As a Black woman and mother, it is also important to challenge narrow narratives placed on Black motherhood. Through reflection, growth and community, this space contributes to reshaping those narratives in a positive and empowering way.

There is no single mould here.
